Actually, I'm only sharing the top five, because I want you to go to Progressive Pulse to see the others benefits.
- Prohibit pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans
- Provide immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool
- Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans
- Lower seniors prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole
- Tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage
- Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans

One that I'm a fan of
is this one (quoting from progressive pulse):
During my stint of working full time for 3 years between undergrad and grad school, I had many coworkers who regularly put off having health issues checked out for their first 90 days, and in one case that even ended up in the ER visit. And they were lucky to have jobs and know that insurance would kick in 90 days down the road. I think having this option so that more young adults between high school, and/or college & a first full time job, can stay covered is a wonderful idea. And it'll build better habits of young people, who may be more healthy people to add to the pool, staying insured.
I considered making a post over on progressive pulse, but I'm fairly confident I'd just end up responding to the person there, saying something like
"If when presented with a list of specific points about legislation the best counter-argument you can come up with is the word socialist or communist or anything else out of the McCarthyism-For-Dummies handbook, then you have no argument at all."
