The truth behind Sue Myrick's blathering
If you were to take this statement at face value:
“I understand the concerns of people; environmentally we have to live in a real world,” said Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C. “Until we can develop the other fuels, we will have to depend on fossil fuels.”
you would think she actually supports alternatives to fossil fuels, but we're just not there yet. Well, you would be wrong:
Voted NO on investing in homegrown biofuel.
And here's some other votes to contemplate:
Voted NO on tax credits for renewable electricity, with PAYGO offsets.
Voted NO on tax incentives for energy production and conservation.
Voted NO on tax incentives for renewable energy.
Voted NO on raising CAFE standards; incentives for alternative fuels.
Rated 0% by the CAF, indicating opposition to energy independence.
And for the handful of anti-tax folks reading this:
Voted NO on removing oil & gas exploration subsidies.
This is the kind of stuff we need to be looking for and exposing, folks. These obstructionist Republicans will try to make people believe they are trying to find solutions to our problems, when in fact they are doing everything they can to block those efforts.

Teflon Sue
The woman has gotten a pass on lying since the get go. This is the same Sue who promised, promised, promised she would term-limit herself. Contract with America, except when you break it.
