how the hell would you know, Stan?

You've really got a burr in your shorts these days, Bru...

Since you asked, Nan and I know Julia reasonably well having held a fundraiser for her in 2006 and with Nan and I both appearing in her campaign materials, etc. Her Repub opponent personally looked me up and told me of his great displeasure with our campaign activities that helped defeat him.

I'm opposed to Hillary Clinton because concrete evidence exists that she took money in return for an unethical presidential pardon...one of many of their unethical performances...and think anyone who disregards the past performance of the Clintons has lost his/her mind.

Back to Julia...something's up with her. What, I don't know...but she's losing her progressive attitude and siding more and more with the "insiders."
She's also not keeping in touch with her constituents as she has in the past...and not answering correspondence.

I don't like your tone any more than I like Hillary...but I'm gonna stay polite.

Stan Bozarth

And as for your tone?

So, your tone is fine with "Julia Boseman has obviously lost her mind." Apparently, tossing out a comment like that with "n/t" is fine and, in your opinion, unobjectionable.

I think it's objectionable and I called you on it. Then you compare me to Hillary, about whom you've been pretty nasty, and then declare that you're going to remain "polite."
That's not "polite," that's hypocritical.

You're trying awfully hard to be mad...

i didn't compare you to HRC...read it...again. I said I didn't like your tone.

If you think it's objectionable for me to express an opinion about a politician...which most of us frequently do...then you must be constantly in a snit over something somebody said that you don't like/agree with.

I haven't been nasty about Hillary...I've been factual. The truth stings sometimes.

You gruffly asked how I would know...and I told you.

Stan Bozarth

Stan, the last thing I do is try hard

That's an outright confession of the fact that I'm essentially lazy. I do seem to engender this "you're so angry" reaction, which I reckon is my own fault for coming across that way, but the truth is that I'm not that caught up emotionally in these threads.

I'm good at expressing my point of view. Sometimes I think that my ability to say what I think in quick and clear terms is taken by people to reflect a long, hard think spurred by a fire in the belly. No, not really. I can't remember the last issue that caused me to actually feel a strong impulse. I also type quickly -- really quickly relative to a lot of people. But honest to JOVE, I'm not wrought up.

I disagree that you haven't been nasty about Hillary. You have. Your concept of what is "fact" and isn't leaves a lot to be desired. You have made comments about the importance of cleansing oneself after contact with Bill Clinton; you're quick to demand execution when a nice white girl is murdered, etc . . .

I did gruffly ask how you would know if someone lost his/her mind because based on the way you post, I don't think you are in a strong position to talk about the state of anyone's mind.

And to pretend that you weren't making a comparison of me to Hillary -- and doing so in a negative way -- is disingenuous. It's too late in the evening for me to humor you, so here ya go. Back in your face, Stan.

Brunette

P. s. I don't know whether this has been up long enough for anyone to notice that I came back and edited out some of my more caustic remarks. I'm not the gentlest or most patient of posters, but every now and then, at last, I try.

Well, Bru

You're apparently going to choose to read into my remarks (about your tone) whatever justifies your vitriol. That's your choice.

You've described me as hypocritical, disingenuous, said my "facts" about the Clinton pardon leave a lot to be desired, and suggested I'm in no position to talk about other people's state of mind. Do you frequently respond with personal attacks on those with whom you disagree?

FACT: Bill Clinton did pardon two exiled Billionaires and he and Hillary both benefitted financially from that pardon. The pardon was unwarranted and unethical. It's in the Congressional Record. Read it.

The rest of it...whatever.

Stan Bozarth

Well Stan

You're in no position to point fingers at anyone for vitriol or personal attacks.

I said your "facts" leave a lot to be desired. I didn't specify what subject I was referring to. My observation was broader than that -- as I believe you could have noted from my references to other of your posts.

I'm familiar with Clinton's pardons, and also recall multiple other of your posts in which you cite as "facts" your interpretation of facts. There's a difference. I don't think you'll "get it," so as you say, "whatever."

I was at a local event this evening

for Wayne Goodwin, Betty Mangum (NC-52), and Tony Berk. Both Tony and Betty had been waiting in Lumberton, and had to leave because apparently Bill was traveling on Clinton standard time. :)

I did not vote for Hillary Clinton, but I would not mind hearing Bill speak - history is history, and he was President. I have respect for the office, and the job he did, especially considering who is doing the job now.

I agree with you.

I don't want to hear Hillary speak, even though I think she is a good candidate and would make a good President. But, I would love to meet the President and/or hear him speak. I would rather hear him speak about human rights, AIDS in Africa, etc.

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

I got to hear him speak about Hillary's economic plan

...um....he is a wonderful speaker.....but economics? Couldn't I have heard something a little more inspiring?

Busy time in Lumberton

Bill Clinton on Wednesday. Democratic rally tonight with almost the entire state slate on Hand. Moore-Perdue-Goodwin. My estimate of about 450.Perdue knows how to work a crowd. Did not see much of the LT gov. candidates but a good time was had by all.

Sounds like a great crowd

Glad to hear from you.
