Wait, Elizabeth Dole is worth how much?

Okay, there has been talk for some time about how Elizabeth Dole is out of touch with North Carolina. There is a joke I heard around town that she hasn't visited the state since her fellow North Carolinian James K. Polk was President, she sends staff members to OLF forums that were advertised as "ask the Senator" events, and she had to shoot a commercial showing her standing in front of town signs to show she had been here - at least for that week.
But, out of touch is one thing, stinking rich and out of touch is another. Elizabeth Dole's biography is murky, but there is no mention of her having a lot of family money and I remember seeing her "home", it looked like a normal working class house, so I assume she doesn't have family money. She is married to a WWII veteran and long-time Senator, and Senator's don't make much dough in the Senate. She has been a student or government employee outside North Carolina for almost 50 years, neither of which pay very well.
So, how did she get so stinking rich?

Errrrr....this is probably the part where you expect me to tell you how she got so stinking rich. Sorry, no such luck. Anyone know how she more money that McCain and Kennedy? Anyone know how she is approaching the wealth of Senator's who own large corporations and professional sports teams, or those with names that end in "ockefeller"?

That's a root of all evil aspect of our representation in DC
question for me. Follow the money and you will see a picture of people's motivations and values. I sure would like to know how she got that stinkin' rich.

Joe Biden has a net worth of about $0. Which means he has been living like the rest of us, on his salary. He put his kids through college with 2nd and 3rd mortgages and used to commute on the train to DC every day when they were younger.
He's a single parent who obeyed the rules.

Joe Biden obviously hasn't gotten any special favors/rewards as a 44 year Senator with his networth at around 150k.

I have to say that this appearance is probably when I went from disliking her politics to disliking her personally. To actually SAY that Democrats want to lose a war, to actually make that accusation, then to continue talking over your host and fellow panelists when they want to respond to such a harsh statement.
I hope Democrats in North Carolina, conservative Democrats, will look at that video and realize "SHE MEANS YOU". She thinks you want the terrorists to win. Why would you ever vote for someone who is so out of touch with what you believe?

my guess is that it has a lot to do with Bob Dole working for those lobbyist? But they keep their get-rich scheme to themselves. :(
No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

If he has made $20 Million lobbying in 10 years, then that is a real conflict of interest for Elizabeth Dole.
