We're Writing the Check Tonight!

Just a head's up to everyone that we're cutting our check to sponsor the College Democrats of North Carolina's Historically Black Colleges and Universities Leadership Conference tonight. The event is this Saturday in Greensboro and is shaping up to be a gamechanger in NC politics.

Even if it's just a little bit, please chip in $10 tonight to make this event a success. Thanks again to everyone who has supported the Farm Team so far.

If you don't remember what the conference is all about, here's what College Dems President Tori Taylor had to say about it during our live blog:

We wanted to bring these students together to 1) inspire and motivate them to be involved in the political process and 2) give them the tools, resources, and knowledge necessary to take this inspiration back to their campuses and communities and be effective leaders. We've got a great agenda lined up for students with over 20 speakers from across the state, including Congressman Mel Watt, NCDP Chair David Parker ... and many other elected officials, party leaders, and HBCU alums from across the state ... I hope this conference serves as the beginning of a long, consistent line of communication and involvement between HBCU students and the Democratic Party.
