What I think of Washington's new law

In 20 years, pot will be legal nationwide. All those senseless deaths and billions spent as a result of prohibition will be just another dark stain on our country's sordid history.
I hope you're right James...
but I'm not holding my breath (yes, they've turned me into a cynical pessimist). Too many judges, lawyers, jailers, cops, prison operators, drug testers, etc. have a vested interest in keeping prohibition in place.
It is truly a crime against humanity that this benign, even beneficial weed is cause for the destruction of so many productive lives and families while pharmaceutical executives market poisons and death to us day and night.
