where did the money come from?

One question that I have been asking and have not seen an answer to is where did the money come from to pay off settle with the former NCDP employee?

I think I saw an answer to that on one of the threads

It was an inferred answer but seemed to make sense. Possibly a post by Greg Flynn; he's good at digging up worthwhile facts. Sorry I can't be more specific but there's been a lot posted on this topic lately as i am sure you know.

Legal fund

Secret Legal Fund?

Transperency at headquarters? Yeah Right!

John Wallace, the party's attorney, confirms that the legal defense fund -- never acknowledged until the controversy exploded at Democratic headquarters in April.

Wouldn't you think the state chair would want to know where the money came from:

He (Parker) also said he didn't know the source of the money, saying he left the decision to Wallace.

See no evil, hear no evil, say no evil?

might have, could have, possibly

I have seen a lot of conjecture but no answers

To be fair to Parker

I don't see that as a money issue as much as it is a typical business dispute. However, something not noted in the story is the fact that it is not legal in NC for anyone other than a licensed real estate broker to take a commission in connection with the sale of real estate.

This need to know is

This need to know is important how in the overall scheme of electing democrats to the State Legislature, The Congress and the White House? That is what we need to know versus electing Democrats...good progressive Democrats? I am more curious to understand about the 40% of Democrats who may have voted for Amendment ONE. I am more curious why the Democrats are virtually ceding newly redistricted Congressional Districts without a fight? I am more curious why since Black, Easley and Edward we seem to Democrats have turn and ran from the fight? Is the Governor right...we are now Mississippi? So whats next we stand by and allow the GOP to pass a see your papers law, poll tax ID to vote law, personhood law, or Stand your ground law? No, I may have my preferences all wrong and maybe it is more important to worry about the legal or SDP defense fund. I know the GOP joins you in that concern.

Insurance?

Shouldn't payments of this type come from a standard type of business liability insurance? I thought that's what insurance was for. Does NCDP not have business liability insurance?

A "secret legal fund" - that's scary to think about. Is that like a secret plan to fight inflation?*
