Wunsch Announces Run For N.C House of Representatives - 37th District

Fuquay-Varina, NC – February 16, 2012 – , Attorney Jason Wunsch filed to run for a seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives. Wunsch filed to run in House District 37.

Wunsch said, “I am running because I care about my daughter’s future. North Carolina currently ranks 49th in the nation in classroom spending, behind Mississippi and South Carolina. We can and must do better. Our children and grandchildren deserve a quality education. We should work to attract and retain the best teachers and make it a priority to keep class sizes small, so that students receive the individualized attention they deserve.

“We are fortunate to live in Wake County, it’s a great place to live and raise a family. We must continue to help our community grow. We should continue to make economic development and job creation our top priority. I support working with local community colleges to provide opportunities for worker training and retraining to help give students and workers the skills needed by local employers.”

Wunsch is a 1999 graduate of Campbell Law School and the owner of The Law Offices of Jason Wunsch, with offices in Lillington, Sanford and Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. He is the current President of the Lillington Rotary, District 7710. He resides in Fuquay Varina with his wife Laura and their daughter Brookelyn.

The 37th District encompasses Apex, Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina. Additional information can be found at www.jasonwunsch.com.

Glad to see this challeger for Stam

This is great to see - Democrats need to be challenging Republicans everywhere - no free rides for them.

Currently, Democrats have filed for just 58 of the 120 House seats, vs 81 for Republicans (54 of whom are currently unopposed).

In a election year that may turn into a anti-incumbent wave and with a potentially weak Republican presidential candidate, Dems have a golden opportunity to win back seats - if there are enough races with candidates.

Good luck, Jason!
